HW/Network Admin (Lead)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado; must be local to the work location. Flexible for occasional telework. Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required.

Projected annual compensation: $116,602.93–$202,749.86.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor hardware and network administrators and technicians.
• Direct infrastructure upgrades, migrations, hardware deployments, and related projects.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, inventory, procurement, and lifecycle management of servers, workstations, peripherals, and storage devices.
• Design, implement, optimize, and maintain secure LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, cloud, hybrid, and SD-WAN environments.
• Manage network security controls, monitoring tools, diagnostics, firewalls, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Plan testing, backup, redundancy, and disaster recovery activities to support availability and business continuity.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance must be possessed and maintained.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12–15 years of experience, master’s degree with 10–13 years, or PhD with 10+ years in computer science, IT, or an equivalent background.
• At least 7 years of hardware and network administration experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Enterprise infrastructure experience, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud networking, SD-WAN, monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG, and complex technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of access controls, encryption, IDS/IPS, IT security compliance, ITIL, ISO 27001/9001, GDPR, or NIST, plus strong documentation and communication skills.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Security+, A+, Azure Administrator Associate, MCSE, or VMware VCP certification.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Docker, high-availability systems, redundancy planning, and load balancing.
