Network Engineer (Cisco)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise and service-provider networks across LAN, WAN, data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Configure and optimize BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, STP, LACP, VTP, and 802.1Q across complex multi-site topologies.
• Architect Cisco Cloud & AI Infrastructure, data center fabrics, high-performance compute connectivity, and AI/ML workload networking.
• Implement network security controls, including next-generation firewalls, IPsec/SSL VPNs, ACLs, segmentation, Zero Trust architecture, and NAC.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible, Python, Terraform, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Act as a Tier 3/4 escalation point, perform root cause analysis and capacity planning, maintain technical documentation, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph are required.
• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-grade IP networks.
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, Cisco platforms, secure network architecture, SD-WAN/SDN, and cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience with network automation and scripting using Ansible, Python, or similar tools, plus infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience with NAC platforms such as Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass and endpoint access-control policy enforcement.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, network engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Active CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent professional-level certification.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus, ACI, UCS, MPLS, inter-provider BGP peering, and IPv6.
• Background in AI/ML infrastructure networking, GPU cluster connectivity, satellite, wireless, tactical communications, VoIP/VTC, or QoS engineering.
• Experience with RMF/ICD 503, DISA STIGs, DoD/IC security frameworks, network forensics, packet analysis, or incident response.
