E&I Engineering Lead (Chemicals)

Location: Dordrecht, the Netherlands

Salary: €71,520–€111,750 annually, including 13th month and holiday allowance; 9% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for E&I scopes across capital projects.
• Translate plant needs into technical requirements for external engineering partners.
• Review designs, specifications, calculations, and proposals without producing drawings.
• Advise projects from business case development through full funding.
• Ensure compliance with hirify.global standards and international codes.
• Support installation, commissioning, start-up, maintenance projects, and turnarounds.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 5–10 years of experience in chemicals, petrochemicals, or heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, instrumentation, and automation.
• Ability to critically review technical designs and challenge decisions constructively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without formal authority.

Nice to have

• Experience working with EPC firms and industrial CapEx projects.
• Knowledge of modernization and sustainability-driven projects.
• Dutch language skills or willingness to learn.
