TL;DR
Electrical Engineer (Battery Systems) (Lithium battery systems): Designing, developing, testing, and optimizing lithium batteries and battery systems with an accent on performance, safety, compliance, and scalability. Focus on characterizing battery cells and packs, analyzing efficiency and reliability data, and solving technical issues across multidisciplinary development teams.

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid onsite requirement. Occasional travel to customers, suppliers, conferences, and seminars may be required. Visa sponsorship is available; relocation is not available.

Salary: €62,500–€85,800 annual base salary, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus plan.

What you will do

  • Design and develop lithium battery technologies, systems, and components.
  • Plan and conduct performance, safety, validation, and characterization testing for battery cells and packs.
  • Analyze battery efficiency, lifespan, and reliability data.
  • Optimize development and maintenance processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during development and testing while ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Prepare technical documentation and specifications and serve as the main product-management contact for battery-related questions.

Requirements

  • Experience in electrical development or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of electrochemistry, materials science, and physics.
  • Experience with battery testing equipment and characterization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in an electrical or electronic field of study.
