Senior Project Engineer (Energy Storage)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; travel throughout the EMEA region is required as needed.

What you will do

• Lead engineering execution for EPC turnkey projects across the EMEA region, taking technical responsibility for assigned projects.
• Coordinate internal engineering disciplines, external engineering firms, subcontractors, procurement, and project stakeholders.
• Review designs and engineering deliverables for contractual compliance, constructability, applicable standards, quality, and country-specific requirements.
• Lead design reviews, drive value engineering, and improve system efficiency, constructability, and project outcomes.
• Support procurement through equipment specifications and technical evaluations of vendor and subcontractor proposals.
• Resolve technical escalations and engineering execution challenges while meeting safety, schedule, budget, quality, and KPI requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience designing and executing utility-scale power systems, photovoltaic plants, battery energy storage systems, or similar energy infrastructure projects in the EMEA region.
• Strong experience with EPC projects involving high-voltage systems, renewable energy, or conventional power generation.
• Strong technical understanding of complex energy projects, engineering principles, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluent English is required. Completion of hirify.global safety training and international travel health certifications may be required for business travel.
