Technical & EHS Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Zoeterwoude, Netherlands, with bi-weekly day visits to Almere and Helmond. Candidates must be based in the Netherlands and authorized to work without sponsorship.

Salary: EUR 46,200–73,920 per year

What you will do

• Champion a proactive safety culture and employee engagement across the Zoeterwoude manufacturing site.
• Oversee EHS activities and support safety operations at the Almere and Helmond sites.
• Develop and deliver environmental, health, and safety education and training.
• Lead investigations into releases, injuries, and near-misses and implement High-Value Learnings.
• Coordinate daily maintenance and repair work on plant equipment and systems.
• Influence technical and operational teams without direct reports while maintaining a hands-on shopfloor presence.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering/Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar EHS or H&S role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, life safety codes, and occupational safety principles, particularly in the Netherlands.
• Experience with HAZOP, training, and Process Safety Management.
• Ability to influence teams without direct authority and willingness to travel to other Dutch locations every two weeks.
• Excellent Dutch and English communication skills; candidates must be based in the Netherlands and authorized to work without sponsorship.
