Manager - Engineering - Batch Stability Studies

Location: Hybrid in Taylor, Texas; on-site at least 2–3 days per week. Remote work must be performed from a Texas residence.

Salary: $159,000–$218,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead batch stability studies for large load interconnection, including data centers and industrial loads.
• Oversee operations, process improvements, departmental goals, priorities, and strategic direction.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments and technical subject-matter experts to implement studies under hirify.global requirements and NERC Standards.
• Support related rulemakings, Protocol and Market Guide revision requests, and stakeholder processes.
• Represent hirify.global in stakeholder forums, committees, and working groups while explaining technical concepts and delivering executive presentations.
• Hire, coach, train, and manage the performance of staff, collaborating with senior management on initiatives and budget decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 8 years of job-related experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role beyond degree requirements.
• At least 5 years of experience in system planning, operations, or interconnection.
• Ability to work on-site in Taylor, Texas at least 2–3 days per week and perform remote work from a Texas residence.
• Strong communication skills, including technical explanations, executive presentations, and stakeholder collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience performing large-scale stability studies and supporting transmission planning assessments.
• Experience analyzing large-load dynamic behavior and assessing system impacts.
• Familiarity with NERC reliability standards, particularly FAC-002 and TPL standards.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
