Sr Software Engineer, Product (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco; four days per week in the office. Candidates willing to relocate to San Francisco are considered.

Salary: $200K–$260K annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Develop complete product features across frontend and backend layers.
• Build and enhance AI-powered loan-servicing capabilities, from payment processing to fraud prevention and customer support.
• Own both 0→1 MVP development and 1→10 product growth and scaling.
• Write maintainable, efficient code with appropriate test coverage and troubleshoot complex issues across the technology stack.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Balance product-management and software-engineering responsibilities while incorporating customer feedback.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Python proficiency.
• Experience shipping user-focused products and building scalable systems.
• Ability to work across full-stack or backend responsibilities.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with empathy for user needs and attention to user experience.
• Ability to work four days per week from the San Francisco office.

Nice to have

• Experience in a highly regulated industry.
