Embedded Software Engineer II (C++)

Location: Farmingdale, New York, United States; onsite role

Salary: $99,092–$165,154 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using modern C++, embedded Linux, PetaLinux, and RTOS for safety-critical applications.
• Support software design, implementation, testing, debugging, maintenance, and integration into embedded systems.
• Generate software requirements specifications from system design specifications.
• Develop top-level architecture, detailed designs, and documented interfaces for software components and systems.
• Create software verification plans, test procedures, and test environments; execute tests and document results.
• Support hardware/software integration, design verification, acceptance testing, and formal customer-witnessed testing.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Required experience with real-time embedded systems, object-oriented design methodology, C++, and the full software development lifecycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a US citizen or otherwise have a background permitting the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance.
• Must comply with US export control requirements, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC policies.
