Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for ARM-based processors using C and C++.
• Build system test applications with C, C++, and Python.
• Implement real-time controls, signal processing algorithms, and inter- and intra-process communications.
• Collaborate with hardware and FPGA engineers on software requirements and system architecture.
• Debug software and hardware integration issues using laboratory equipment, JTAG, and GDB.
• Conduct integration, system, and hardware-in-the-loop testing and document designs, processes, and test results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 3–10 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python or MATLAB.
• Understanding of microcontroller and microprocessor architectures, peripherals, and communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
• Familiarity with JTAG, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers, along with strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AMD/Xilinx SoC devices such as Zynq-7000, Zynq UltraScale+, or Versal.
• Knowledge of RADAR concepts, signal processing, cybersecurity principles, RTOS, or embedded Linux.
• Familiarity with Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Confluence.
