Morning/Noon Meteorologist

What you will do

• Produce and present weather and news reports across broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.
• Forecast weather conditions and create clear, concise weather stories with creative graphics.
• Respond to breaking and severe-weather events, including extended shifts during severe-weather season.
• Co-anchor morning and noon newscasts, using a teleprompter and ad-libbing with the co-anchor.
• Coordinate comprehensive weather coverage with other meteorologists and contribute to copy editing and research.
• Participate in live newscasts, promotional activities, public appearances, and community events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Meteorology.
• Strong understanding of meteorology and a proven forecasting track record.
• Proficiency with the Barron Radar system, creative graphics, and non-linear editing.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
• Personable on-air presence with the ability to ad-lib and read a teleprompter.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; flexibility to work any shift, including some weekends.
