Technical Specialist (Air Quality)

Location: Onsite in Sheridan, Wyoming, United States; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work is performed in field and office settings.

What you will do

• Oversee air-quality analysis, testing, equipment, procedures, databases, and reports.
• Lead staff by providing work direction, guidance, and training.
• Review complex forms, documents, databases, and related materials for accuracy.
• Analyze operations, results, and feedback to identify trends and recommend solutions.
• Research and resolve technical, operational, employee, management, and customer issues.
• Support cross-functional projects, including timelines, budgets, staffing, materials, and leadership updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, meteorology, environmental science, or a closely related field, or three years of directly related experience with specialized technical programs or air monitoring operations.
• Advanced to expert knowledge of relevant principles, practices, policies, procedures, testing tools, equipment, and calibration processes.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them.
• Ability to manage complex operations, prepare technical reports and documentation, deliver presentations, and exercise independent judgment.
• Ability to work effectively in team-based and independent environments and build strong relationships with staff, customers, and management.
• Strong business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation, is required.
