Environmental Scientist II

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; regular field site visits and required project travel.

What you will do

• Collect project data through research, listed-species surveys, agency and client interviews, map reviews, and field investigations.
• Assimilate and manage data, prepare constraints mapping, and define the required level of environmental analysis.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and perform complex assignments with independent judgment.
• Coordinate environmental permits, acquisition, and compliance for public and private clients.
• Support public information meetings and hearings.
• Work independently on medium-sized projects and support senior scientists on larger projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of technical or field experience preparing environmental documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong environmental writing, communication, research, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including in minimally supervised or unsupervised environments.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to operate a vehicle day or night, and ability to complete field visits in sloped terrain, dense vegetation, and inclement weather.
