Plumbing Designer (Data Centers)

Location: Clifton Park, NY or Phoenix, AZ, United States; hybrid working arrangement with approximately 10–20% travel to project sites.

Base compensation: $50,000–$150,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.

What you will do

• Produce detailed plumbing design documents in Autodesk Revit from schematic design through construction.
• Perform calculations for sanitary, storm, and domestic water systems.
• Select and specify plumbing equipment and develop plans and specifications for permitting and construction.
• Coordinate plumbing scope with electrical, telecommunications, fire protection, mechanical, architectural, civil, and structural disciplines.
• Support project delivery, including submittal and shop drawing reviews, site observations, existing-condition surveys, and punch lists.
• Lead smaller projects and mentor junior engineers, designers, and modelers.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of plumbing design experience, particularly using Autodesk Revit for drawing development.
• Experience with the construction process from schematic design through construction administration.
• Knowledge of local and national construction codes and project specifications.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken forms and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from Clifton Park, NY or Phoenix, AZ and travel to project sites as required.

Nice to have

• Experience designing plumbing systems for large industrial and commercial buildings.
• Mission critical or data center design experience.
• Experience with Procore and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
