Senior Plumbing Designer/Plumbing Engineering Specialist

Salary: $128,067.17–$146,362.48 per year

hirify.global's Buildings Division provides plumbing and building design services for public agencies and private corporations, including transit, municipal, institutional, educational, and commercial facilities.

What you will do

• Prepare plumbing designs, hydraulic calculations, estimates, reports, and specifications for building projects.
• Design sanitary, storm, domestic water, and natural gas systems.
• Survey existing site conditions and prepare construction punch lists.
• Meet with clients, discuss project matters, and make recommendations based on project needs.
• Present technical material to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist, supervise, and mentor team members while providing timely feedback and recognition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience and credentials such as CPD.
• 10+ years of relevant plumbing design experience across industrial, educational, institutional, and governmental facilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, hydraulic calculations, specification writing, applicable building codes, and cost estimating.
• Strong planning, organizational, client-relations, and communication skills.
• Ability to support project delivery and present technical material clearly.

Nice to have

• Strong Revit skills.
• LEED AP, CPD, or PE certification.
• Experience with fire protection wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems and fire standpipe systems.
• Experience with industrial, state agency, or local municipal projects.
