Plumbing Designer III

Location: Remote for candidates residing in AL, AZ, AR, FL, GA, IN, MI, MO, NV, OH, OK, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WV. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Estimated annual pay ranges: Virginia: $87,100–$111,700; Washington: $91,300–$117,100.

What you will do

• Design plumbing layouts for domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drainage, and gas piping systems.
• Use Revit to create detailed plumbing construction documents and coordinate designs with other disciplines.
• Manage design schedules, deadlines, deliverables, and multiple project priorities.
• Select plumbing equipment and fixtures according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders; assist with site visits, inspections, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, project managers, clients, drafters, and junior team members.

Requirements

• 4+ years of plumbing design experience on commercial or industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Revit for plumbing system design and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, industry standards, and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and client-interaction skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination and integrated building systems.
• ASPE or another relevant industry certification.
• Experience with sustainable plumbing design, LEED, or water-efficiency systems.
