Manager/Sr Manager Grid Implementation (Power Systems): Managing grid implementation analysis for upcoming load, generation, and transmission changes with an accent on reliability assessment, transmission constraints, and operating plans. Focus on developing CMPs, GTCs, RASs, and EAPs, maintaining NERC and ERCOT compliance, and leading system studies and staff development.
Location: Hybrid in Taylor, Texas; on-site at least 2 days per week, with remote work performed from a Texas residence
Salary: $219,000–$301,000 annually

What you will do
- Manage the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the Grid Implementation team.
- Analyze upcoming load, generation, and transmission changes to identify potential reliability and transmission-constraint issues.
- Develop and review Congestion Management Plans, Generic Transmission Constraints, Remedial Action Schemes, and Extended Action Plans.
- Lead system studies, modeling, operating-plan development, and analysis of simulated or actual system performance.
- Coordinate with planning, operations, grid integration teams, TDSPs, and other stakeholders to develop study cases, tools, and mitigations.
- Hire, coach, train, mentor, and manage the performance of staff while representing in industry committees and working groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- For the Manager level: at least 8 years of job-related experience, including 2 years in management or leadership beyond degree requirements.
- For the Sr Manager level: at least 10 years of job-related experience, including 3 years in management or leadership beyond degree requirements.
- Experience in power-system planning and/or operations, with expertise in system performance standards and reliability analysis.
- Ability to work on-site in Taylor, Texas at least 2 days per week and remotely from a Texas residence.
- Ability to maintain compliance with NERC Standards, Protocols, Operating Guides, and other binding documents.
Nice to have
- Experience with grid interconnection studies and processes.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer certification.
