Mid-Level Electrical Engineer (Data Centers)

Location: Hybrid positions in Atlanta, GA; Clifton Park, NY; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; or Seattle, WA. Approximately 10–20% travel to project sites is required.

Base compensation: $90,000–$225,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.

What you will do

• Design electrical infrastructure for greenfield and brownfield data centers, hyperscale and enterprise fit-outs, and data center campuses.
• Develop medium-voltage distribution, redundant power systems, on-site generation, UPS backup, lighting, grounding, small power, and fire alarm systems.
• Produce detailed electrical design documents, plans, and specifications for permitting and construction using Autodesk Revit.
• Coordinate electrical connections, monitoring interfaces, and design requirements across mechanical, telecommunications, fire protection, plumbing, architectural, civil, and structural disciplines.
• Perform and review power studies, including Neher-McGrath, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Lead small project teams, mentor junior engineers and designers, communicate with clients, and deliver projects on schedule.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in facility electrical design, particularly using Autodesk Revit for drawing development.
• A four-year degree in electrical engineering or architectural engineering with an electrical focus is preferred; relevant two-year or EET degrees with work experience may be considered.
• Experience with electrical design for large industrial or commercial buildings and knowledge of local and national construction codes.
• Experience across schematic design, construction documentation, construction administration, submittal and shop drawing review, field surveys, site observations, and punch lists.
• Ability to lead small electrical design teams, coordinate multidisciplinary work, communicate clearly, and manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Office, and Teams; EIT or PE credentials are preferred.

Nice to have

• Mission-critical or data center design experience.
• Familiarity with electrical power monitoring systems and EPMS.
• Experience performing or reviewing Neher-McGrath, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• EIT or Professional Engineer credentials.
