Senior Electrical Engineer (Mission Critical)

Location: Austin, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Des Moines, Durham, Fort Worth, Houston, Lincoln, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Omaha, Orlando, Overland Park, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, or Washington, D.C., United States. Four days per week are worked in the office; Fridays offer flexibility to work elsewhere.

Salary: $84,700–$144,430 USD annually, depending on location, experience, and skills.

What you will do

• Design, coordinate, and implement electrical systems for data centers, laboratories, clean rooms, and critical infrastructure facilities.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through construction, including power and lighting systems, layouts, calculations, reports, narratives, and specifications.
• Create and coordinate project documentation using Revit and BIM workflows.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and other disciplines through an integrated design process.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals, and conduct site visits when needed.
• Manage electrical and interdisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in an MEP or integrated design firm working on complex electrical projects.
• 5+ years of experience designing electrical systems for data centers.
• Proven experience designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Working knowledge of the design and construction process, with the ability to communicate across disciplines.
• Experience with BIM workflows, such as Autodesk Revit MEP, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer license.
• LEED Accredited Professional credentials or experience with LEED and other green rating systems.
• Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
