Director of Electrical Engineering (Data Centers)

What you will do

• Set the vision, standards, and priorities for electrical engineering services across mission-critical projects.
• Lead engineering teams, project managers, and designers in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems.
• Review and approve designs, calculations, and specifications for power distribution, UPS, generators, medium-voltage systems, switchgear, and controls integration.
• Establish QA/QC protocols, design standards, technical guidelines, and compliance practices.
• Represent the electrical discipline with clients, contractors, facility owners, internal teams, and external partners.
• Mentor and grow the engineering organization while tracking quality, schedules, budgets, and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including mission-critical, data center, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role with responsibility for teams, budgets, and strategic operations.
• Expertise in power distribution, UPS, generators, medium-voltage gear, switchgear, grounding, controls, and electrical system studies.
• Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and other relevant codes and standards; a PE license is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, and electrical design software.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyperscale data centers, global technology clients, sustainable power design, renewable energy integration, or energy efficiency strategies.
• Experience managing multi-region electrical engineering programs and knowledge of Design-Build or IPD delivery methods.
• Experience implementing process improvements or technology adoption in electrical design workflows.
