Location: On-site in Tempe, AZ; the role covers the West Coast region.

What you will do

  • Set the vision, standards, and priorities for electrical engineering services across mission-critical projects.
  • Lead engineering teams, project managers, and designers delivering safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems.
  • Review and approve designs, calculations, and specifications for power distribution, UPS, switchgear, generators, medium-voltage systems, grounding, and controls.
  • Establish QA/QC protocols, technical guidelines, code compliance, and safety standards for electrical deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal disciplines, contractors, clients, and facility owners as the executive-level contact for electrical scope.
  • Mentor engineers and designers while tracking design quality, schedules, budgets, client satisfaction, and technology adoption.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, including significant mission-critical, data center, or large-scale infrastructure work.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role with responsibility for teams, budgets, and strategic operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Expertise in power distribution, UPS, generators, medium-voltage equipment, switchgear, grounding, control systems, and electrical system studies.
  • Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, and electrical design software.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment may require background checks, drug testing, and other legally permitted pre-employment requirements.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with hyperscale data centers, global technology clients, or multi-region electrical engineering programs.
  • Knowledge of sustainable power design, renewable energy integration, energy efficiency, and construction delivery methods such as Design-Build and IPD.
  • Experience implementing process improvements or new technologies in electrical design workflows.
