Chemical Operator (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: North Charleston, South Carolina, United States; onsite outdoor plant environment

Salary: $25.85 per hour starting wage, increasing to $27.63 per hour after probation

What you will do

• Follow daily operating instructions for chemical manufacturing operations.
• Record relevant operating information in shift log sheets.
• Communicate issues and concerns to shift facilitators, supervisors, and area engineers.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures as necessary.
• Ensure environmental permit requirements are satisfied and keep the work area clean.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of industrial manufacturing experience, equivalent college training or technical certification, or direct experience at an hirify.global chemical manufacturing facility.
• Math skills appropriate for the role, strong written and oral communication, and computer proficiency.
• Ability to think ahead, coordinate proactively, and manage situations under pressure.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Availability for 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime is required.
