Sr. Analyst, Accounting Policy (US GAAP)

Location: New York, New York, USA (Corporate Headquarters)

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do

• Research and interpret U.S. GAAP, FASB Accounting Standards Codification, and SEC guidance.
• Advise internal stakeholders on the accounting treatment of contracts, transactions, and business initiatives.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures as standards and regulations change.
• Prepare technical accounting memos, audit documentation, training materials, journal entries, and financial disclosures.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts, external auditors, and other stakeholders on technical accounting conclusions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
• Experience researching and interpreting accounting standards and SEC regulations.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, analytical, presentation, and project management skills.
• Big Four and/or public accounting experience, including work with external auditors and technical audit discussions.
• Familiarity with equity compensation, derivatives or debt, goodwill, and indefinite-lived intangible assets.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• MBA or CPA.
• Familiarity with SAP and Workiva.
