TL;DR
Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst (SEC Reporting): Preparing SEC filings and providing technical accounting support across the organization with an accent on U.S. GAAP, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and ESG disclosures. Focus on researching complex transactions, implementing new accounting standards, coordinating audits, and improving reporting systems and processes.
Location: Hybrid role based in Medina, Minnesota, USA
Salary: $80,000–$111,000 per year

What you will do
- Prepare SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 11-K, 8-K, and S-D reports.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to validate reporting data.
- Prepare and review quarterly earnings materials and coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
- Maintain internal controls over financial reporting and support enhancements to financial systems.
- Provide technical accounting guidance, research complex transactions, and develop company-wide accounting policies and procedures.
- Support ESG filings, data collection, assurance activities, and standardized reporting controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Active CPA certification required, or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- At least two years of relevant accounting experience.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC and FASB requirements, PCAOB standards, SOX, COSO, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, collaborate across a matrixed organization, and meet deadlines; minimal travel is expected.
Nice to have
- Public accounting or SEC reporting experience.
- Familiarity with ESG or sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Experience with XBRL and SEC EDGAR filing systems.
