Sr. Accountant - Investment Operations

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota, United States

Salary: $73,900–$122,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Maintain accurate books and records for fixed income investment assets and support internal and external reporting.
• Prepare, evaluate, and complete journal entries, payment requests, and reconciliations.
• Compile, review, and analyze financial data for variance analysis, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Support financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and routine or ad hoc management reporting.
• Prepare external financial statements under GAAP, SEC, and statutory accounting requirements.
• Perform Sarbanes-Oxley controls, support audits, and provide coaching and mentoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a comparable professional qualification such as CPA or CMA.
• At least two years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning, or a related field.
• Knowledge of accounting theory and practice, with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to interpret trends, provide management insights, collaborate with business partners, and improve processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, and financial reporting or investment accounting software such as Bloomberg, Hyperion, or Adobe Pro.
