TL;DR
Accounting Senior Analyst/Analyst (US GAAP/SEC Reporting): Preparing public-company financial reports, SEC filings, global consolidations, and accounting disclosures with an accent on US GAAP compliance, financial controls, and complex accounting projects. Focus on coordinating quarterly and annual reporting, researching new accounting standards, supporting audits, and consolidating multiple domestic and international legal entities.

Location: Albany, New York, United States; hybrid work with office attendance required 2–3 days per week

Salary: $58,300–$87,400 per year

What you will do

  • Prepare and analyze internal and external financial reports in accordance with US GAAP and SEC guidelines.
  • Lead and support quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K and related financial statements.
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Perform global consolidation of multiple legal entities and coordinate with domestic and international subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and review financial statement footnotes and support financial reporting controls under SOX.
  • Research complex accounting issues, recommend process changes, and partner with external auditors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited university.
  • 2–5+ years of related experience.
  • Public accounting experience required; Big Four experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting obligations for public companies.
  • Experience implementing enhanced accounting standards and financial reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

  • CPA license.
  • Experience in a publicly traded organization or as an audit partner to a publicly traded organization.
  • Experience with AuditBoard, BlackLine, Toppan Merrill Bridge, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
