Data Links Test Engineer - Mid-Level (Aerospace)

Location: Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, United States; onsite role with up to 25% travel to contractor facilities, test sites, and other CONUS and OCONUS locations.

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, execute, document, and brief developmental test events for tactical data link capabilities.
• Design and document test equipment architectures supporting voice and data communications requirements.
• Develop, review, and edit test plans, concepts of operations, test cards, data-analysis plans, and formal reports.
• Coordinate test resources and maintain program schedules, continuity databases, and lessons-learned documentation.
• Perform data reduction and analysis using software tools to assess technical performance and inform leadership.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to test communities, program offices, government stakeholders, and senior personnel.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance; an interim Secret clearance is required before starting.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 3–10 years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for education.
• Engineering or technical experience related to tactical data links, data link radios, radio-frequency propagation, or computer networking.
• Ability to execute test scripts and procedures, develop block diagrams, collect data, and produce post-test analysis and reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical briefings, plans, reports, white papers, and executive summaries.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and lift 50 pounds unassisted.

Nice to have

• Operational experience with Link 16, JREAP, SADL, VMF, MADL, TTNT, Link 11, Link 22, and related tactical data link systems.
• Command-and-control battle management experience in USAF or equivalent military platforms.
• Familiarity with TDL military standards, common TDL radios, and Department of Defense and Air Force test instructions.
• Current and active Top Secret clearance.
• JT-301 JICO or JT-310 AJOC training.
