Senior Test And Evaluation Engineer

Location: Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC; on-site work required up to 5 days a week. Occasional travel may be required to naval locations including Norfolk, VA, and San Diego, CA. Telework may be possible with customer approval.

What you will do

• Support the Program and Deputy Program Manager within a 200-person contractor team.
• Design, execute, and analyze tests for software and aerospace-related defense systems.
• Develop and review test plans, procedures, objectives, and resource definitions.
• Coordinate and participate in land-based and at-sea testing, including range coordination.
• Manage configuration, analyze test data, and report findings to support system validation and design improvements.
• Support integration testing and initial Navy operator training connected to test objectives.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Relevant test and evaluation experience with surface radars, electronic warfare, EO/IR, decoys, and/or laser systems or subsystems.
• One of the following qualification paths: high school diploma or GED plus 20 years of relevant experience; bachelor's degree plus 15 years; or master's degree plus 10 years.
• Knowledge of Navy and Department of Defense policy and guidance.
• Experience with system or subsystem test and evaluation, test planning, test procedure development or review, and post-test analysis.
• Ability to work at the Washington Navy Yard and nearby offices up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Knowledge of M&S VV&A policy and guidance.
• Experience with integration testing, Navy operator training, and land-based or at-sea test events.
