What you will do

  • Prepare, execute, and analyze high-speed wind tunnel test campaigns for advanced aerospace vehicles and missile systems.
  • Translate aerodynamic objectives into test procedures and safely operate wind tunnel facility hardware.
  • Assemble and instrument sub-scale models using strain-gage balances, pressure scanners, and flow-visualization sensors.
  • Develop automated data acquisition routines and monitor real-time data quality during wind tunnel runs.
  • Reduce and analyze large experimental datasets and document aerodynamic coefficients.
  • Collaborate with design teams to validate computational fluid dynamics models.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required; TS/SCI is preferred.
  • Approximately two years of relevant aerospace engineering experience involving aerodynamic or aerothermal analysis.
  • Approximately two years of direct experience in an aerodynamic laboratory or testing facility; university-level experience is considered relevant.
  • Strong proficiency with LabVIEW and MATLAB for data acquisition and analysis.
  • Working knowledge of CFD tools including Star-CCM, CBAero, Cart3D, and TAOS.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as Siemens NX Design or SolidWorks, plus strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
