What you will do

• Lead independent reviews of transmission system upgrades costing $50 million to more than $1 billion.
• Oversee steady-state power flow contingency analyses and evaluate system reliability needs.
• Review Notice of Suspension of Operation requests and exit strategies for Reliability Must Run contracts.
• Communicate analysis results to stakeholders, management, the hirify.global Board of Directors, and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate across departments on system changes, process improvements, audits, and special projects.
• Provide technical, business, policy, quality assurance, and best-practice guidance while mentoring engineers and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 5 years of job-related experience, with leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with transmission planning and steady-state power flow contingency analysis.
• Familiarity with NERC reliability standards and transmission planning process improvements is preferred.
• Experience programming simulation automation tools, such as Python, is preferred.
• Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
