Base salary: $116,640β$145,800 annually, depending on experience and location.

What you will do
- Lead reliability- and economically driven transmission planning studies covering voltage, thermal, photovoltaic, transfer-limit, short-circuit, and stability assessments.
- Analyze complex transmission systems across multiple voltage levels and document results through reports, data analysis, and presentations.
- Improve the precision and efficiency of transmission planning methods and develop subject-matter expertise.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, regional organizations, and industry peers including NPCC and ISO groups.
- Provide technical leadership on complex projects, guide department engineers, and mentor and develop the team.
- Participate in transmission and substation site inspections, workshops, training, and software user-group meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
- 7+ years of industry-related engineering experience.
- Knowledge of transmission planning, operations, engineering design, construction, analytics, modeling, and calculations.
- Experience documenting, interpreting, reviewing, and approving engineering work.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory standards, including NERC, NPCC, ISO, and PUC requirements.
- Experience with power-system studies and analytics software such as PSS/E, TARA, ASPEN, or Enfuzion.
