Engineer (Building Maintenance)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States. This is an on-site role; remote and hybrid options are not available.

What you will do

• Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarm, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, HVAC, and other installed building systems.
• Respond to emergency situations, complete maintenance records, and coordinate additional assistance when required.
• Direct mechanics, technicians, and outside contractors on assigned projects when needed.
• Operate energy management systems and implement measures that improve efficiency and control operating costs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, trade school training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least three years of building maintenance experience, with thorough knowledge of building system operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems, plus knowledge of energy management.
• Appropriate trade licenses or permits may be required, such as electrician, refrigeration, boiler, or steam operator licenses.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical work including climbing ladders and stairs, stooping, standing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
