Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, including pumps, chillers, boilers, compressors, and air handling units.
• Repair and replace building components, fixtures, appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Apply basic HVAC distribution and controls knowledge to resolve work orders.
• Participate in property water treatment programs and maintain equipment, chemical consumption, and central plant operation logs.
• Develop working knowledge of fire alarm and life safety systems while providing concierge-style service to internal and external partners.
• Work assigned shifts, including possible early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in commercial building operations, property management, or a related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use power tools and engineering computer programs, read equipment manuals, perform basic calculations, and communicate effectively.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, climb stairs and ladders, access confined spaces, and work indoors and outdoors.
