Junior Software Engineer - Graduate Industry Trainee (GRIT) (Java)

What you will do

• Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise software applications.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and execute unit tests, perform system integration testing, troubleshoot issues, and support UAT and defect resolution.
• Assist with application deployment, release, and change management activities.
• Support system audits, vulnerability assessments, and security testing initiatives.
• Create technical documentation and collaborate with colleagues using Agile development methodologies.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or graduation in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
• Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident status is required.
• Foundational knowledge of Java and basic knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure and understanding of CI/CD concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
• Must commit to a minimum six-month traineeship and cannot participate in another full-time traineeship, employment, or government-funded training programme during this period.
