What you will do
- Design and implement low-latency components for OMS/EMS trading platforms.
- Build, optimize, and maintain high-performance Java trading applications for trading desks.
- Apply zero-copy patterns, NIO, garbage collection strategies, sequencer patterns, and low-latency encoding protocols.
- Develop clustering and distributed-system capabilities for robust and scalable message processing.
- Tune JVM, machines, and networks to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
- Collaborate with trading, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to integrate services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in low-latency application development, preferably in trading or financial services.
- Strong Java experience focused on low-latency application development.
- Knowledge of zero-copy techniques, NIO, garbage collection algorithms, JVM tuning, sequencer patterns, clustering, and distributed-system design.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, containerization, and performance monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of low-latency encoding protocols such as FIX and protobuf, plus strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with OMS/EMS platforms.
- Experience with Aeron messaging for low-latency systems.
