Registered Nurse

Location: Onsite in Grand Prairie, Texas; Monday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners to coordinate further evaluation and care.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Administer medications and emergency care within the legal scope of practice.
• Maintain medical equipment, a clean and safe environment, infection-control procedures, and accurate patient health records.
• Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an associate degree in nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in an emergency room, occupational health clinic, or other ambulatory care clinic.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification may be required depending on the contract scope of services.

Nice to have

• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a four-year college or university.
