Clinical Nurse - General Medicine (Nursing)

Location: 251 E Huron St, Chicago, IL 60611, USA; onsite hospital role on night shifts

Salary: USD 36.50–58.40 per hour

What you will do

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned group of inpatient medicine patients.
• Assess patients, identify outcomes, plan and implement nursing interventions, and evaluate and document responses.
• Develop individualized, age-specific, culturally sensitive care and education plans for patients and families.
• Advocate for patient safety, rights, comfort, and dignity while maintaining a safe care environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, patients, families, and multidisciplinary hospital teams.
• Participate in teaching, mentoring, precepting, quality improvement, innovation, and shared leadership activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited school or college of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher.
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Analytical ability, communication skills, keyboard proficiency, and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Experienced nurses and new graduates are considered.

Nice to have

• Experience in the relevant clinical area.
• Nursing specialty certification, when eligible.
