Registered Nurse-Med Surg Full Time Nights

Location: Palos Heights, Illinois, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: $34.50–$55.20 per hour

What you will do

• Provide individualized, age-specific nursing care from admission through discharge.
• Assess, document, and analyze patient health data and identify care needs requiring immediate attention.
• Develop, implement, update, and evaluate individualized plans of care and measurable patient outcomes.
• Deliver evidence-based patient and family education and support discharge planning.
• Collaborate with patients, families, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams on care coordination.
• Present relevant patient information at multidisciplinary conferences and make referrals to support continuity of care.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
• An Associate Degree in Nursing is acceptable with a commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of starting the clinical nurse role; external ADN candidates are not currently being considered for Palos Hospital RN openings.
• Background check required for newly hired team members and, at times, internal transfers.

Nice to have

• Experience in the specific clinical area.
• Additional certifications may apply to emergency, pediatric emergency, and non-invasive cardiology roles.
