Software Maintenance Engineer - Omnivise T3000

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid arrangement with 2 home office days per week

What you will do

• Execute software maintenance projects on Omnivise T3000 distributed control system units used in power plants.
• Install application, system, and security patches released and tested by the development department.
• Implement corrective measures to maintain software integrity, efficiency, and reliability.
• Install and configure cybersecurity components, including application-whitelisting virtual machines, network intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management tools.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance projects with customers and regional hirify.global counterparts.
• Act as the first point of contact for global customers regarding Omnivise T3000 software maintenance.

Requirements

• Strong technical background in IT, computer science, or electrical engineering; a university degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Solid skills in IT system administration, software installation and deployment, network topology, and scripting.
• Solution-oriented approach with strong bug-fixing and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English is required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, active listening, customer-service, and intercultural skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and work outside office hours when required.
