System Administrator (Linux) in the EU

Location: Remote, office-based, or hybrid work from the listed European countries: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Salary: EUR 900–1,700 per month gross. Final compensation depends on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Ensure stable, secure, and continuous operation of the meGov infrastructure and applications.
• Operate and maintain Linux servers and applications, including SUSE 12/15 environments.
• Manage Docker environments and application clusters.
• Monitor systems, logging, performance, availability, and security.
• Administer PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Manage incidents, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate with IT-DLZ.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator in technology or digital products.
• Hands-on experience operating Linux-based systems and administering SUSE environments.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, performance analysis, and application clusters.
• Knowledge of Docker and DevOps principles.
• Basic knowledge of IT security and system hardening.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher and German at Intermediate+ level or higher.
