DevSecOps Architect / Technical Lead (Azure)

Location: Worldwide; fully remote, office-based, or hybrid work options are available. A one-week on-site onboarding in Slovenia is required, with travel and accommodation expenses covered.

Salary: €4,600–€6,900 gross per month, depending on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Translate the DevSecOps master plan into a practical architecture and implementation roadmap.
• Define reusable CI/CD, security, release-management, vulnerability-management, and incident-response standards.
• Support migration from Bitbucket and Jenkins to Azure Repos and Azure Pipelines.
• Implement security scanning, release gates, artifact signing, SBOM generation, and secure artifact promotion.
• Configure security controls for AKS, container images, identities, secrets, and certificates.
• Integrate platform security events with monitoring and SIEM solutions while providing technical leadership, mentoring, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud security, or platform security.
• Experience designing DevSecOps processes, architecture, and engineering standards across multiple teams.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, container security, and Infrastructure as Code; AKS and Terraform experience are preferred.
• Experience implementing CI/CD security controls such as SAST, SCA, DAST, secret scanning, IaC scanning, and container scanning.
• Knowledge of identity, secrets, certificate, software supply-chain, SBOM, artifact-signing, provenance, and secure-promotion practices.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher and willingness to attend one-week on-site onboarding in Slovenia are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Azure Key Vault, Azure Container Registry, Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar security tools.
• Experience with policy-as-code and Kubernetes admission controls such as Azure Policy, OPA, or Gatekeeper.
• Understanding of DORA, audit traceability, segregation of duties, and regulated-environment security requirements.
