Account Specialist (Sales)

Location: Northbrook, Illinois, United States

Salary: $52,900–$65,700 per year, plus an incentive program and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage contracts from placement through completion, including maintenance, order creation, delivery schedules, and balance adjustments.
• Communicate with internal and external customers regarding shipments, account changes, and day-to-day inquiries.
• Use SAP, proprietary software, and internal databases to create orders, process credits and debits, adjust inventory, and maintain documentation.
• Support approvals for disputes, customer concerns, fee adjustments, and contract changes.
• Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and Accounting, Logistics, Marketing, product management, and manufacturing teams.
• Build knowledge of CF products, production capabilities, industry trends, markets, and customer operations; occasional customer and facility travel may be encouraged.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external relationships.
• Good organization, administrative, task-management, analytical, and problem-resolution skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn and navigate SAP and proprietary computer systems; rotating after-hours support is required.

• Familiarity with the fertilizer or chemical industry, supply chain, or logistics.
