Electrical Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment – Customer Specification & Compliance)

Location: Hwaseong-Lucestar, South Korea; onsite with approximately 20% travel

Global engineering and materials science organization developing and servicing equipment for semiconductor manufacturing and advanced display production.

What you will do

• Lead customer common specification reviews covering electrical and EHS requirements for new and updated equipment programs.
• Conduct customer meetings, communicate open issues, and develop counterplans.
• Review electrical drawings and lead AC Rack (MPD) design and configuration checks with engineering teams.
• Support SEMI S2 certification activities and coordinate SEMI Working Group, KOSHA, and PSM-related items.
• Interpret electrical concepts and standards to resolve equipment issues and coach Customer Engineering teams.
• Design, modify, troubleshoot, and document electrical and electronic assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer working with semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings and electrical concepts for semiconductor equipment.
• Effective spoken and written English communication skills required.
• Ability to coordinate component procurement and assembly, identify critical-part sources, and resolve technical issues.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with SEMI S2 certification requirements.
• Knowledge of IEC, UL, and NFPA 79 international standards.
• Experience designing AC Racks (MPD) or AC Boxes.
• Experience with customer specification reviews, compliance, and customer-facing meetings.
