Managing Director - Asset Management

What you will do

• Develop and execute asset-level business plans for a diversified portfolio, primarily covering multifamily and industrial properties.
• Monitor operating performance, leasing activity, capital expenditures, budgets, underwriting, risks, and market position.
• Provide strategic oversight to property management, leasing teams, operating partners, and multifamily development projects through construction, lease-up, and stabilization.
• Partner with acquisitions on underwriting, due diligence, and the transition of new investments into asset management.
• Prepare business plans and investor reports, and present asset strategies to senior leadership, investment committees, and clients.
• Lead and mentor the asset management team while improving processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business, accounting, or a related field.
• 15 or more years of experience in commercial real estate asset management, acquisitions, portfolio management, or related investment work.
• Significant multifamily and industrial experience, with strong knowledge of property operations, leasing, budgeting, capital planning, financial reporting, and investment analysis.
• Experience managing teams, third-party property managers, leasing teams, and operating partners.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, judgment, initiative, and organizational skills, with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Ability to travel approximately 15%–25%.

Nice to have

• Deep multifamily operating expertise and experience overseeing multifamily development.
• Office, healthcare, or retail real estate experience.
• Argus experience.
