Operations Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: DeLisle Plant, Pass Christian, Mississippi, United States; onsite operations leadership role. Willingness to relocate in the future for continued leadership and career development opportunities is required.

Salary: $141,120–$220,500 annually, plus a 16% annual bonus target.

What you will do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for assigned manufacturing areas, ensuring safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective performance.
• Lead and develop Production Leaders, supervisors, and operations personnel while strengthening accountability, engagement, and safety culture.
• Drive performance across safety, process safety, production, OEE, downtime, reliability, yield, quality, productivity, and cost metrics.
• Develop short- and mid-term operating plans and contribute to site strategy, asset utilization, resource planning, and manufacturing priorities.
• Manage operating costs and budgets, monitor financial performance, and deliver productivity commitments.
• Partner with Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Capital Projects, Supply Chain, and Plant Leadership teams to improve assets, quality, and overall plant performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of manufacturing or industrial operations experience, including leadership in a PSM-covered, high-hazard chemical, petrochemical, refining, or comparable process-manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading managers and developing leaders while delivering safety, process safety, production, quality, reliability, and organizational results.
• Experience managing significant operating or fixed-cost budgets and improving performance through KPIs, operational discipline, and cost management.
• Must be able to work at the DeLisle Plant in Pass Christian, Mississippi, and be willing to relocate in the future.
• Immigration sponsorship, including H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN, or other non-immigrant status sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• Lean manufacturing experience with daily management, visual management, standard work, Kaizen, and structured problem solving.
• Lean certification or experience leading or supporting a Lean transformation.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP system for operational performance, cost management, and data-driven decisions.
• Experience improving aging, corrosive, abrasive, or otherwise challenging process-manufacturing assets in partnership with technical teams.
