Supervisor, Production (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States; hybrid work opportunity

Salary: $75,000–$105,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Supervise production operators and shift personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant plant operations.
• Drive compliance with environmental, health, safety, Process Safety Management, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily production activities, schedules, quality expectations, customer requirements, raw materials, inventory, and finished goods.
• Monitor processes, equipment performance, and operational KPIs to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Use SAP and related systems for production reporting, inventory transactions, material movements, and operational metrics.
• Lead operator training, coaching, performance management, shutdowns, startups, troubleshooting, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience may be considered.
• At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or chemical plant operations.
• Understanding of inventory management, raw material handling, and production planning.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and team-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
