Traditional Labor Law Associate

Location: Silicon Valley, California, United States; hybrid

Salary: $230,000–$250,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonuses.

What you will do

• Represent employers in traditional labor matters, including unfair labor practice charges and proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board.
• Represent management in NLRB elections and advise on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card check, and neutrality agreements.
• Negotiate and advise on collective bargaining agreements, grievances, arbitrations, and related labor disputes.
• Advise employers on federal and California workplace laws, including wage and hour, leave management, disability accommodation, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
• Review handbooks, policies, forms, compensation plans, commission plans, and bonus plans for legal compliance.
• Conduct management training and support workplace-law due diligence for acquisitions and mergers.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 4–6 years of experience in litigation or attorney advice work.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, project management, and written and oral communication skills.
• Regular business travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills.
