Senior Windows Systems Administrator (Windows)

Location: Columbia, Maryland; onsite Monday through Friday. Travel is less than 10%.

What you will do

• Administer, patch, harden, and sustain Windows Server 2016–2022 and Windows 11 workstations across three or more isolated classified networks.
• Manage Active Directory Domain Services, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, ADCS, replication, sites, and trusts across separate enclave forests.
• Operate MECM, MDT/WDS, WSUS, application packaging, imaging, and approved offline patching processes on air-gapped networks.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, remediation, and compliance activities with PowerShell and desired-state configuration.
• Perform vulnerability remediation, ACAS and SCAP scanning, event and audit-log analysis, continuous RMF monitoring, and ATO support.
• Maintain virtualization, clustering, endpoint protection, backups, recovery procedures, documentation, and cross-functional operational support.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Windows systems and network administration experience in DoD/DoW or classified environments.
• Deep experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, MECM, Windows 11 endpoint support, and isolated or air-gapped networks.
• Experience with DoD STIGs, RMF, DISA security requirements, DCSA accreditation standards, ACAS or Nessus, SCAP, and continuous monitoring.
• Active DoD 8140-compliant baseline and computing-environment certifications, such as Security+ CE and a qualifying Microsoft certification.

Nice to have

• SharePoint, Hyper-V, Windows Failover Clustering, NetApp or SAN storage, PKI, and ADCS design experience.
• PowerShell automation at scale, Git-based configuration management, Zero Trust, AppLocker or WDAC, and Cross Domain Solutions experience.
• Experience with Azure Government, Azure Secret, project management, or executive leadership briefings.
