Sr. Windows Systems Administrator

Location: Columbia, Maryland, United States; onsite Monday through Friday. Travel is less than 10%.

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 per year.

What you will do

• Administer, patch, harden, and sustain Windows Server 2016–2022 and Windows 11 workstations across three or more isolated classified networks.
• Manage Active Directory forests and services, including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, ADCS, replication, trusts, and certificate infrastructure.
• Operate MECM, MDT/WDS, WSUS, application packaging, and approved offline patching processes in closed and air-gapped enclaves.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and remediation with PowerShell and desired-state configuration.
• Perform vulnerability remediation, ACAS and SCAP scanning, event-log analysis, continuous monitoring, and RMF/ATO support.
• Maintain backup and recovery procedures, documentation, SOPs, security artifacts, and collaboration with cybersecurity, network, and systems engineering teams.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret / TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Windows systems and network administration experience in DoD/DoW or classified environments.
• Advanced Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, endpoint management, networking, troubleshooting, and user-support experience.
• Experience with classified, closed, and air-gapped networks, DoD STIGs, RMF, DISA requirements, DCSA accreditation, C2C, and 802.1X.
• Active DoD 8140-compliant baseline and computing-environment certifications, such as Security+ CE and a qualifying Microsoft certification.

Nice to have

• SharePoint, Hyper-V, Windows Failover Clustering, NetApp or SAN storage experience.
• PKI and ADCS design, large-scale PowerShell automation, Git-based configuration management, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Cross Domain Solutions, Azure Government or Azure Secret, project management, and executive briefing experience.
