System Administrator (Microsoft): Managing and supporting Windows Server environments, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, clustering, virtualization, storage, backup, and cybersecurity compliance with an accent on server hardening, infrastructure administration, and troubleshooting. Focus on implementing DISA security guidelines, maintaining secure systems that require secret clearance, and managing complex data center and cloud environments.
Location: Newport, Rhode Island, United States; onsite only with no remote or telework allowed
Salary: $51,091.74–$88,838.63 projected annual compensation range

What you will do
- Manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and support Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 environments and Microsoft applications.
- Develop and implement Active Directory Group Policy and Microsoft server hardening practices.
- Plan, design, administer, and support Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Implement and administer Microsoft clustering, VMware virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure, and storage area networks.
- Manage data center infrastructure, server racks, backup and restore processes, and Rubrik-based data protection.
- Prepare technical procedures and documentation while working independently on infrastructure and security projects.
Requirements
- Current MCITP Server Administrator certification for Windows Server 2019, 2022, or 2025.
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification with CE.
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 or higher, Microsoft IIS 7 or higher, and Microsoft PKI technologies.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting, Splunk 7 or higher, VMware ESX 6 or higher, VMware Virtual Center, VDI, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines, and fiber/iSCSI SAN fabric management.
- 2–4 years of experience implementing and managing Microsoft Windows Server technologies, or equivalent related experience; a B.S. in Computer Science is preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; ability to routinely move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
