Identity Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Washington, District of Columbia, United States; office-based or remote

Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Microsoft Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, and related directory services.
• Own the health, integrity, availability, and security of identity infrastructure supporting thousands of users and systems.
• Design, implement, and manage enterprise PKI environments, including certificate authority hierarchies and certificate lifecycle operations.
• Monitor systems, servers, hardware resources, logs, policies, and protocols, taking corrective action when required.
• Support Azure Active Directory, hybrid identity environments, SSO, MFA, and identity governance platforms.
• Collaborate with project and support teams on security monitoring, risk assessments, patching, and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience administering enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environments and supporting identity and access management solutions.
• Experience with enterprise PKI, certificate authority hierarchy management, certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, auditing, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of cryptographic standards and their application within enterprise security policies.
• Experience integrating PKI with Active Directory, web services, and endpoint devices.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory and hybrid identity environments, plus familiarity with SSO, MFA, and identity governance.
• Ability to create detailed technical documentation and analyze systems from a cybersecurity perspective.

Nice to have

• Scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Perl, or VBScript.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft license management, enterprise mobility management, or Windows-based systems.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 technologies.
